Like someone else, I "upgraded" to the i5's with mixed results. The i3's were one of the most popular sets of irons in 1999-2000. For what it's worth, the MPF factor on the i3's was surprisingly low. Might I also add that the i3+ had a 15% larger custom tuning port, which I assume translates to better feel.. The Ping I3 O-Size irons are very similar to Ping Eye2+ model in terms of performance. With similar looks and identical lofts between the two i3 models (O-Size and Blade), golfers have the option to mix and match between the two (i.e. 3-6 irons in the O-Size and 7-PW irons in the Blade). These irons should appeal to golfers of all abilities.
